One of the most important Islamic studies for children to learn is “The Pillars of Islam”. They are considered the backbone of the Islamic religion and based on them, Islam was established.

The 5 Pillars of Islam or Arkān al-Islām (in Arabic: أركان الإسلام) are the five primary obligations that each Muslim must fulfill in his or her lifetime. The 5 pillars of Islam are as follows:

1. The Shahada (Declaration of Faith)
2. Salah (Muslim Prayer)
3. Zakat (Obligatory Charity)
4. Sawm of Ramadan (Fasting Ramadan)
5. Hajj (Pilgrimage to Mecca)
